WellBehave and the Veterinary Profession
Owners of cases being referred to WellBehave should bring a completed copy of this form to the consultation. Veterinary surgeons may also wish to use a copy of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Approved Referral Form (.pdf 83Kb), available from the Companion Animal Behaviour Therapy Study Group.
It strongly recommended that each referral case is seen by a Veterinarian for a full medical work up so as to rule out any medical or organic cause, either in respect of initiating the onset or maintenance of the behaviour problem. WellBehave support this recommendation and are happy to work as paraprofessionals in the field of veterinary medicine.
